To build the capacity of the Council to advocate and raise awareness on rights as set out in the CRPD across the Cook Islands.

To increase awareness and understanding among persons with disabilities and community leaders across Tuvalu about the rights of people with disabilities as outlined in the CRPD and to encourage persons with disabilities in the outer islands to form their own DPOs, affiliated with Fusi Alofa.

To continue with ratification efforts and CRPD awareness-raising amongst key stakeholders in PNG.

Pohnpei Consumer Organization
To build the capacity of the disability movement in FSM, with the longer-term goal of jointly advocating for ratification of the CRPD (signature is already in the pipeline).
Pohnpei Consumer Organization (PCO)
To conduct a national disability survey to determine accessibility of services (in line with the CRPD), changes needed, and a timeframe for change. Results will include recommendations to lawmakers and assistance in drafting of needed legislation. The disability survey results will also be used for ongoing advocacy to the FSM Government towards ratification of the CRPD.
