DRF is looking for new board members!
Why consider joining this board?
Through participation on Disability Rights Fund’s board, you can bring your skills, interests and values to make a global level impact on the realization of human rights for those living with disabilities. It is an opportunity to lead and engage with a global team working with organizations of persons with disabilities in the global south to advance the rights of persons with disabilities and to advocate for inclusion in their countries and communities, as well as to intersect and build solidarity with other global human right movements.
What We Are Looking For
We are currently seeking candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Financial Expertise – Nonprofit financial management, GAAP accounting, audit review, or investment strategy.
- Legal Expertise – Nonprofit law, governance, IRS/501(c)(3)/(c)(4) compliance, or international grantmaking.
- Fundraising Expertise – Development strategy, donor relations, philanthropy, or resource mobilization.
- Rights Advocates – Experience in disability rights or other social movements, particularly in the Global South.
- Mission-Driven Candidates – Anyone deeply passionate about our work and values is welcome.
Board Membership
DRF’s Board of Directors holds primary responsibility for ensuring the organization fulfills its legal and other obligations. The Board protects organizational assets, provides strategic direction, and ensures respectful and inclusive behavior in all interactions.
In accordance with our bylaws, the Board includes at least 50% persons with disabilities and represents regions and countries where DRF operates.
